The White Giant: | |
One of the highest mountains of Africa, full of resources and danger. Hunters do train their fighting skills here. Up to now, the mountain has just been successfully climbed once. The expedition of Doctor Bert Nieratsch could avoid the danger on the way up the mountain, but sadly the old man died on the top of it. His fellow mates buried him there and marked that place with a cross. | |
Mesoai-Oasis: | |
She lies fruitfully in the desert and her thoughts are dangerous. As one of the few oases here in this region she is a place of refuge for many animals looking to still their thirst. The shady trees offer shelter from the sun and predators the possibility of getting some food. | |
Umpokta Tribe: | |
As far as the Imperium is concerned, it is the high-point of civilization amongst the savages of the Savannah and deserts. Primitive house construction and religious superstition are very prevalent in everyday Umpokta life. With their masks and threatening songs they frighten the tenderly strung amongst the citizens. | |
Caravan: | |
A small shadow in the relationship between the Umpokta and the Imperium is this hijacked caravan. There are still plenty of goods in the desert belonging to our citizens. The negotiations are being drawn out because of communication problems. | |
Voodoo Temple: | |
It is the generous gift from the Imperium to the Umpokta. After the foundation walls and the building material were delivered, the Umpokta banished all Roman architects and finished constructing the building themselves. Religious reasons were pushed forward. Surely the temple holds many secrets and treasures, which are protected by force of arms. | |
Lost Harbor: | |
Once a blooming Viking outpost, it has in the meantime become a shadow of its former self. A learning example out of the history books of the Imperium and its allies. The strange power of Voodoo forced the blond giants to their knees. Until today there should be findings within the houses and ships of the Vikings, which are of no interest to the Umpokta. | |
Blood Cave: | |
There exists a rumor amongst the superstitious natives that magical rituals are held here. The historiography of the Imperium shows no such occurrences taking place in this region. What does count as fact, however, is that the cave`s cooling shadows attracts deadly animals. | |
Cliff Jumper: | |
In the religious life of the Umpokta a surreal ritual has become tradition. On every third new moon the villages` priests meet and choose someone especially gifted. This person is accompanied by a procession to Cliffjumper Mountain. Once arrived the chosen ones throw themselves jubilantly off the cliff to their deaths, it is said as a gift to the spirits. Aside from the spirits the numerous wild animals that have settled in this area also get some satisfaction. | |
Bridge: | |
The bridge separates the land of Umpokta from the city Imperiums. Positive trade relations creates a status of mutual toleration. Yet still the bridge is guarded by the Umpokta. |
